TBS Tea Tree Oil Face Mask + FOTD

It’s another wonderful rainy Thursday, isn’t it?

Today I’ll have my first review on beauty products. I bought this product because of the fact that it has an ingredient that can combat breakouts which is the Tea Tree Oil. I really have an oily/sensitive skin, much to my dismay up until now being an adult I still do worry about acne, zits and blackheads/whiteheads and all of the above! ;P Geezz! All my life I’ve been battling with this dilemma and still on the run of the perfect brand that would end every girl’s nightmare, SCAR!

Tea Tree Oil Face Mask

The Body Shop says:

•Used weekly, this clay-based mask deep cleanses to encourage clearer skin. A deeply cleansing mask that helps to refine the skin and combat blemishes while absorbing excess oils, leaving the skin feeling clean, refreshed and revived. Breakouts are minimized with regular use.
•Ingredients: Tea tree oil - Has natural purifying antibacterial properties. Is known to help soothe blemished skin.

Kaolin clay - Deeply cleanses, drawing out impurities from the skin. Helps to absorb excess oil. Is a mineral that helps to cleanse the skin, whilst restoring its natural balance.

Glycerine - Is an effective moisturiser which helps improve softness and maximise hydration.

Aqua (Water) (Solvent/Diluent), Kaolin (Absorbent), Glycerin (Humectant), Cetearyl Alcohol (Emulsifier), Myristyl Myristate (Emollient), Octyl Palmitate (Emollient), Glyceryl Stearate (Emulsifier), PEG-100 Stearate (Surfactant), C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate (Emulsifier), Cyclomethicone (Emollient), Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree Oil) (Natural Additive), Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative), Methylparaben (Preservative), Propylparaben (Preservative), Disodium EDTA (Chelating Agent), CI 77891 (Colour), CI 77289 (Colour), CI 77492 (Colour).

I use this mask twice a week and if my hormones shoot up (oiliness appears) thrice a week. I put it after cleaning my face for 5 minutes, rinsing it and viola! My skin feels dry (not the kind of dryness that is so tight), smooth and cool. It also smelled some kinda minty and the color refreshingly green!

What about breakouts? Pimples lessened (on my forehead, cheeks and nose), not on my chin, yeah, maybe because of my toothpaste (I’ll just buy another brand after finishing the tube). Oiliness still surface but lessened, I’ll say after office hours (8 hours) I could see that shine appears (that long eh!)

Much to my surprise, I’m in love with this product! FYI, I still have a lot, because as the instruction says just “smooth a thin layer onto pat-dried skin, clean face and neck with your fingertips” and it’s done. I’ve dug a pot of gold with this one! My money’s worth? Very much satisfied!
